// so funktioniert es

So funktioniert es

  1. Clarify your goal

    Choose a built-in voice, plan to clone a voice from a short clip, or run the streaming API server for an app.

  2. Get VieNeu-TTS

    Install the vieneu SDK from PyPI for code use, or clone the repo and sync dependencies with uv for the Web UI.

  3. Install and configure

    Pick the CPU path (uv sync / pip install vieneu) or the GPU path (uv sync --extra cuda); Windows users can also use the standalone installer from vieneu.io.

  4. Run your first synthesis

    Call Vieneu().infer(...) with Vietnamese text and a voice name, or start the Web UI and generate from the browser.

// funktionen

Warum es so beliebt ist

48 kHz v3 Turbo engine

The current open-source architecture (with its own audio tokenizer and phonemizer) outputs 48 kHz audio, up from 24 kHz in v2.

25 preset voices

Built-in voices cover Northern, Central and Southern accents, with 10 editors' picks recommended as starting points — no reference clip needed.

Instant voice cloning

Clone a voice from a 3–8 second clip, with automatic reference denoising.

Real-time streaming

infer_stream streams frame by frame on CPU and GPU, and an OpenAI-compatible POST /v1/audio/speech API works with the OpenAI SDK, Pipecat and LiveKit.

Conversation mode and batching

Batched generation (up to batch size 32) including a multi-speaker conversation mode that batches a whole script.

LoRA fine-tuning

Train your own voice or reading style on one consumer GPU.

  1. Clone the repo

    Clone VieNeu-TTS for the Web UI / full repo experience; SDK-only users can skip to pip install vieneu.

    git clone https://github.com/pnnbao97/VieNeu-TTS.git
    cd VieNeu-TTS
  2. Install dependencies

    Use uv as the README recommends — CPU/minimal, or with the cuda extra for GPU.

    uv sync
    # GPU: uv sync --extra cuda
  3. Start the Web UI or use the SDK

    Launch the Gradio UI, or pip install vieneu and call Vieneu().infer(text, voice=...) from Python.

    uv run vieneu-web  # http://127.0.0.1:7860
    # SDK: pip install vieneu

// häufige fragen

Häufige Fragen

Who maintains VieNeu-TTS?

It is created and maintained by pnnbao97 (Phạm Nguyễn Ngọc Bảo); the commercial v4 and app live at vieneu.io.

Is it free?

The code in this repo (v3 Turbo) is Apache-2.0 licensed and free. The README states v4 is proprietary and only offered through the VieNeu API/site.

Does it need a paid API key?

No — the open-source version runs on-device (CPU via ONNX Runtime, or your own GPU). No cloud key is required.

How does it compare to gTTS for Vietnamese?

gTTS calls Google Translate's hosted speech endpoint with fixed voices. VieNeu is a local Vietnamese-first model with preset regional voices, cloning, streaming and much higher audio quality (48 kHz).

How do I get started?

pip install vieneu, then vieneu = Vieneu(); audio = vieneu.infer(text, voice=...) — or clone and run uv run vieneu-web.
