Run auto-editor on your video — it analyses loudness and writes a new, tightened file with the silent sections removed.
Adjust --margin and thresholds (e.g. --edit audio:-19dB) until the pace feels right, or export the timeline to your editor with --export premiere / resolve / final-cut-pro.
Audio-loudness analysis with --margin breathing room, plus motion analysis, so cuts tighten without sounding frantic.
Multiple --edit:N classes with --when actions (cut, keep, speed up sections) for edits beyond simple silence removal.

Yes — everything in the repository is public domain under the Unlicense. The optional online runner and desktop app at auto-editor.com use some separate proprietary assets, per the README, but the CLI itself is public domain.
By default, sections whose audio falls below the loudness threshold — silence and dead space. You control the threshold and margin, and can add motion-based and multi-label rules.
Against jumpcutter-style scripts, Auto-Editor is the mature, maintained tool: dB thresholds, labelled rules, speed sections and exports to professional editors. Against an AI clipper, it makes no content judgements at all — it tightens the whole video deterministically, which is often exactly what you want first.
