Monid — OpenRouter for agent tools: one base URL and one key give an agent 2,000+ tools across 72+ providers
Monid is an open-source ai agents project by monid-ai (monid-ai/monid on GitHub). It has 4,240 GitHub stars and 560 forks, is released under the MIT license, and was last updated on GitHub on 15 October 2026.
The repo is the framework every Monid endpoint is described in.
Run the type checks and the 188 replay tests — they need zero network.
Export a vendor key and call an endpoint through the engine, or browse the compiled catalog from the CLI.
A single base URL and key front tools from 72+ providers, so agents stop juggling per-vendor integrations.
Every connector declares its usage model; billing settles on the raw response, and vendor errors or unmatched lookups settle at zero.
A discover step ranks the catalog for each request, so the agent gets the endpoint that fits instead of a hard-coded one.
New providers are described, not coded: provider definition, shared zod schema fragments, endpoint schemas and recorded fixtures.
Requires Deno 2.x.
git clone https://github.com/monid-ai/monid.git
cd monidTypes plus 188 replay tests, with zero network calls.
deno task check && deno task testInspect what exists before wiring anything up.
deno task catalog providers
deno task catalog endpoints --provider examonid-ai; the service site is monid.ai and docs live at docs.monid.ai.
The connector layer in this repo is MIT-licensed and open source; tool usage through the Monid service is metered per call.
Running real endpoints uses vendor keys (your own, in this repo) or a Monid key on the hosted service; the offline test suite needs none.
OpenRouter unifies model APIs behind one key. Monid does the same for tools — search, scraping, enrichment, generation — with per-call endpoint ranking and declared per-connector pricing.
Clone the repo with Deno 2.x installed, run deno task check && deno task test, then browse the catalog with deno task catalog.
