About LibreAI

Open-source AI moves fast. Great projects get buried under READMEs written for developers. LibreAI presents each one the way a great product launch would — clearly, honestly, and beautifully.

Who runs LibreAI

LibreAI is run by Shayan — one person, not a company. Shayan curates the collection, verifies every project against GitHub, and writes the guides. The catalogue was last updated in October 2026, and new projects are added every week.

How tools are chosen

An honest note on licenses

Most tools here use standard open-source licenses (MIT, Apache-2.0, GPL-3.0). Two video projects — Maestro and Wan2GP — ship under custom source-available licenses from the WanGP family, which restrict some commercial use. Their pages say so plainly. Always read a project's LICENSE file before commercial use.
